Full Testimonials

"If you are looking for a Klezmer band, you want Jake Shulman-Ment and his band. We heard numerous Klezmer bands and Jake and his team blew everyone else out of the water. We got married in LA and flew them out from NY because they are so good. The music is beautiful, the players are wonderful people, and they played a critical role in making our wedding the perfect day we always dreamed of. They have their own modern distinct sound while remaining true to their shtetl roots. This is what Klezmer music is meant to be."

-Daniel Reich

"I can say we LOVED having Jake lead music at our wedding. Beyond just performing, Jake really served as music director, helping us figure out and craft exactly what we wanted in terns of how the music would serve the overall event, and how it would guide attendees emotion-wise through the evening. Jake really is a master of the dance-band magic; he put together several sets of dancing that people described as “The best wedding dancing I’ve ever experienced” and “The most welcoming, accessible, and WILD wedding dance of my life."

-Sarah Larsson

“We wanted our wedding to be imbued with as much Jewish character, ritual, and culture as possible, including traditional Jewish folk music. Jake listened to our ideas and musical preferences while offering plenty of expert guidance, and constructed a special musical program for us from the ground up. Accompanied by an accordion player, Jake made our wedding ceremony feel vitally connected to our Jewish ancestry through his sensitive playing of traditional wedding marches and celebratory tunes. Then, when it was time to mingle and party, Jake assembled a marvelous four-piece band and got our guests out of their seats and dancing, playing rollicking, authentic Klezmer music that put a smile on everyone’s faces. We received an outpouring of compliments about the band for weeks and weeks after the big event. Jake and his musical collaborators play from the heart. Their performances elevated our wedding to new spiritual and energetic heights, and we cannot recommend Jake more for any event that begs for great Klezmer!”
